We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt appreciation for the support you render to the underprivileged families and individuals in the Maple Ridge Community.
Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Community Services
Many of our clients utilize your service and are grateful for the help. Our clients have been making healthier food choices. The change seems to be because of their ability to have quality fresh food. Many of our clients are talking about how they have been able to eat salads and fresh fruits due to the food bank providing these options.
On behalf of the CRP Team at Maple Ridge Mental Health we would like to thank you and your team of wonderful volunteers for all you do for our most vunerable clients. Our clients strugle to make ends meet on a meager monthly allowance. Without the weekly visit to your food bank many would go hungry well before the end of each month. The tireless hours you all put in is a blessing, so many thanks from us at Maple Ridge Mental Health.
Youth Worker PMSS & District Maple Ridge
The food program is a very important part of our AIM Program. People forget that when people don’t eat, regular tasks become much more difficult. I run a youth drop in for the Youth Outreach Initiative Program through the District of Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows. The food bank provides food so we can run a community kitchen. This gives youth the opportunity to develop cooking skills, learn about nutrition and its a great way to connect with other youth and staff.

We have been utilizing the food bank services for a number of years. We bring the kids down to the food bank on a weekly basis and they have the opportunity to volunteer and learn how a non profit organization works. They learn responsibility, social etiquette and it prepares them for the work force. Without this service we would not be able to sufficiently feed the number of kids that we do as we have a minimal budget for extras. Without the Food Bank this opportunity to our youth we would not be able to serve the meals that we do and our youth would miss the opportunity to give back within the community and enhance their skill set.
