Notice to Members of the Friends in Need Food Bank Society
Annual General Meeting Thursday October 12, 2017
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Friends in Need Food Bank this letter serves as written notice that the Friends in Need Food Bank Society will hold its Annual General Meeting on Thursday October 12, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the Friends in Need Food Bank offices located at #8, 22726 Dewdney Trunk Road Maple Ridge. Registration begins at 6:30 pm.
In accordance with the Society’s Bylaws current members must pay their 2017/2018 annual dues of $10.00 before the commencement of the 2017 AGM if they wish to maintain membership and participate in the 2017 AGM. New members must submit their applications for membership with the $10.00 membership fee prior to the September 11, 2017 deadline for approval at the September 14, 2017 Board Meeting. Applications are available through the office by calling (604) 466-3663.
The nominating committee will be receiving nominations for Directors until the deadline Monday September 11, 2017. Please note that under our Bylaws, voting by proxy is not permitted.
A board endorsed list of nominees for director vacancies will be published on the Society’s website, www.friendsneedfood.com fifteen days prior to the AGM. The agenda for the October 12, 2017 Annual General Meeting will be available at the Friends in Need Food Bank offices during regular business hours two weeks prior to the meeting.
Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at the 2017 Annual General Meeting. Please note that in order to transition the Society’s bylaws as required this year by BC Registry Services, the following Special Resolution will be presented at the Annual General Meeting.
Notice of Special Resolution: “Be it resolved that the members of the Friends in Need Food Bank Society approve the changes contained within the bylaws date this 12th day of October, 2017 in their entirety”.
