Nomination Committee Report 2019

Following is the 2019 Nomination Committee Report:

Four (4) Directors are returning to the Friends in Need Food Bank Board of Directors, to fulfill the 2nd year of their two (2) year commitment:

Joanne Foote: Healthcare worker for 40 years, Past Chair of the Fraser River Indigenous Society

Sandra Ramsay: Retired Executive Assistant to the CAO of Maple Ridge, Chair BC
Summer Games, Past President Haney Farmer’s Market Board.

Lindsay Norcross: Former ScotiaBank employee for 46 years. Senior’s Society Board Member, and a Volunteer with Ridge Meadows Hospice Society.

Jonie Lagrange Bookkeeper, Self Employed

The following 4 nominees need to be voted on and will be on the ballot for voting purposes,

Four (4) Present Directors, are putting forward their names and wish to return for another two (2) year term:

Ineke Boekhorst Executive Director, Downtown Maple Ridge BIA

Lynda Lawrence Real Estate Consultant, Lone Palm Management Ltd.

Brian Timmins Owner, Two Guys Disposal

Gwen O’Connell Councillor, City of Pitt Meadows

Additionally, we are hereby introducing one (1) proposed new Board Nominee; looking to fill the remaining vacant Director position:

AHMED YOUSEF
Yousef is currently a Councillor with the City of Maple Ridge, and has a Masters Degree in International Relations. Yousef runs his own consulting business, and is a community volunteer and advocate. He is currently volunteering with the PRF program for the food bank among other volunteer activities. Yousef and his family have been residents of Maple Ridge for almost a decade and are active in the community.
