About Our Hampers
WHO WE HELP
Our in-house statistics show that 34% of those who receive our hampers are children, and another 5% are seniors. We distribute almost 600 hampers per month, helping about 1,500 individuals. Our client list numbers about 4,400 people, but not everyone needs a hamper every month. Our clients receive two hampers per month one which is a 4-5 day supply of food and one that contains “extras” such as frozen foods, laundry soap, juice, condiments, jam, peanut butter and various paper products.

What's in our hampers
Our hampers provide three to four days' worth of food and are only intended as a supplement.

The Board of Directors is committed to including protein and produce in each hamper to improve their nutrition level. The depot now has coolers and freezers, enabling clients to take advantage of donations of fresh produce and meat. Examples of typical protein items include peanut butter, eggs, chicken and ground beef. Fresh produce can include cucumbers, potatoes, carrots, apples and other fruits and vegetables.

Our hampers contain fruit and vegetables, a source of protein, bread, pasta or rice, canned soups or stew and other non-perishable food items. Quantity varies depending on whether the hamper is for a single individual, couple or family.

Hampers are distributed in the 3rd week of the month.
