Hampers
The Friends In Need Food Bank provides nuticious, 3-4 day suppliment hampers for registered clients. Hamper size varies depending on family size. Hampers are distributed once monthly. Please see below for hamper pick-up times and requirements for registration.
How To Register
Our food, mainly donated, is intended for low income families residing in Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows. All clients must live in Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows, provide proof of address, provide proof of income, pictures I.D. or identification with a signature, and Care Cards for every member of the family.
Picture I.D.: Picture I.D. would be official government issued ifentification which includes driver's license, B.C. Identification, passport, Canadian immigration papers or landed immigrant card.
Proof of Address: When registering at Friends, you must prove that you live in Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows with an official piece of mail with your name and address. Ideal items as proof of address are telephone, hydro or cable bills. A print off of your Accomodation & Allowance print out from the Social Assistance office will also confirm your address and income.
Proof of Low-Income: Every adult in your household must provide proof of income. This would include a recent cheque stub, E.I. cheque, Allowance print out or a salary slip. If you have any questions regarding proof of low-income please contact our Maple Ridge head office.
Proof of Dependants: Each client must provide the physical care card for every member of the household.

Tuesday: 8:30am-12:30pm
Wednesday: 8:30am-12:30pm

Hamper Schedule
Week One: Week one at Friends Pitt Meadows is "Extra's" week. Clients may access the food bank once to obtain supplies such as laundry soap, shampoo, cat & dog food, toilet paper, etc.
Week Two: Week two at Friends Pitt Meadows is Bread and Drink. Clients may access the food bank everyday to obtain bread and drink supplies.
Week Three: Week three at Friends Pitt Meadows is Hamper week. Clients must come to the food bank on their specified day as we are open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Week Four: Week four at Friends Pitt Meadows is Bread and Drink. Clients may access the food bank every day to obtain bread and drink supplies.
Registration Days
Registrations for new clients will be taken on the first, second and fourth week of the month. Our hours for registrations are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30-12 Noon. Our registration desk will close at noon sharp.
Please note that we do not complete registrations on the third week of the month, which is typically hamper week.
